The Healing Power of Nature

In this episode of the Bloom and Beyond podcast, I share my recent five-day trip to the Boundary Waters of northern Minnesota and talk about why spending time in nature can feel so healing. From the sound of loons calling across the water to the quiet, fresh air, wildlife, pine trees, and open space, this episode explores how unplugging and slowing down affects stress, mental health, sleep, and overall well-being. We also talk about research showing how time in nature can help lower cortisol, reduce stress, improve mood, and support long-term health. In this episode: The mental and physical benefits of being outside How nature affects stress and the nervous system Research on nature and chronic disease Why quiet and unplugging help the body relax The healing effects of fresh air, sunlight, and movement Simple ways to spend more time outside This is a conversation about slowing down, reconnecting, and supporting your health in a more natural way.
